Salted cake with mushrooms and cheddar

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 ml) Organic Sifted Wheat Pastry Flour
  • 227 g (1 punnet) of mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) oil
  • 1 cup (250 ml) old cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 pinches of nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Gently wash the mushrooms under cold water and pat dry.
  3. Dice the mushrooms and sauté them in a little oil with salt and pepper.Break the eggs into a bowl and whisk them. Add the flour, melted butter, grated cheese, and mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add the nutmeg.
  4. Generously grease a loaf pan with butter and pour in the batter. Bake for 45 minutes (or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean).
