Cinnamon sugar coating:

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) cinnamon (or more, to taste)

Preparation

  1. Place the oven grill in the middle of the oven. Preheat to 350°F (180°C). Place parchment paper on 1 or 2 cookie sheets.
  2. Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt together. Set aside.
  3. Cream together the sugar and butter. Add the eggs and blend well.
  4. Add dry ingredients to moist ingredients and mix well.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
