Crunchy chickpea snack

  • Product used in this recipe : Organic Chickpeas (garbanzo)

  • 500 grams of Organic Chickpeas (garbanzo)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 tablespoon onion powder


  1. Soak the chickpeas for 8 to 12 hours. After soaking, rinse (do not collect the soaking water) and bring to a boil and simmer for about 1-2 hours or until the chickpeas are tender. Dry the chickpeas well
  2. In a bowl, combine the chickpeas, oil, cumin powder, chili powder, onion powder, pepper and salt, then stir well.
  3. Spread chickpeas on a baking sheet and bake at 232°C (450°F) for 40 to 50 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
