  1. Place oven rack in the middle position. Preheat oven to 350°F (190°C).
  2. Coat the apples with the butter and place them in a baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, and toss to coat. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and salt. Add the melted butter, and mix until the mixture is moistened.
  4. Spread the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown!
