Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 ml) Organic All Purpose Unbleached White Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) salt
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) unsalted melted butter
  • 1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar slightly compacted
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (250 ml) chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Position the rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
    In another bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla with a wooden spoon until the mixture is thoroughly blended.
  3. Using a wooden spoon, incorporate the dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
  4. Using a spoon, place 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of dough per cookie on the baking sheet, leaving 2 inches (5 cm) between each cookie.
  5. Flatten the dough slightly with your fingers.
  6. Bake one sheet at a time for 11 to 12 minutes (the center of the cookie will be soft but will firm up as it cools).
  7. Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
