Buckwheat smoothie with berries

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 ml) Organic Buckwheat Flakes
  • 1 cup (250 ml) blueberries, raspberries or strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 apple cored
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk or other liquid (almond milk, oat milk, coconut water, etc.)

Preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients into a smooth purée. Taste, and adjust sweetness.
  2. Transfer into two bowls.
  3. To finish, top with a few berries and almonds, or a few buckwheat flakes for a bit of added crunch!
