Blueberry and basil syrup

Yield: 2 1/2 cups


  • Organic Golden Cane Sugar
  • For a new taste, you can also use : Blueberry and basil syrup


  • 1 cup of Organic Golden Cane Sugar
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of water
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of blueberry from Quebec province
  • 6 basil leafs
  • Zest and juice of a lemon


  1. Bring all ingredients to a boil over high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Crush the blueberries roughly.
  3. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let stand for 30 minutes.
  5. Pass the mixture through a fine sieve to separate the liquid from the pulp.
  6. Store in the refrigerator.
  7. Add a few tablespoons of flavored syrup to your sparkling water, your tea, your favorite cocktails, and your glass of white wine or champagne. Let creativity take over you!
