Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yield: 20 cookies

Notes:

  • Flour used in this recipe : Organic All Purpose Unbleached White Flour
  • For a new taste, you can also use : Organic Unbleached White Spelt Flour

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Organic All Purpose Unbleached White Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of unsalted melted butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar slightly sifted
  • 2 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Place the oven grill in the center of the oven. Preheat to 350°F. Place parchment paper on 2 cookie sheets.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, the baking soda and the salt. Put aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix with a wooden spoon the melted butter, the brown sugar, the egg yolks and the vanilla until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Using a wooden spoon, incorporate the dry ingredients and the chocolate chips.
  5. Using a spoon, place about 2 tbsp of dough on the cookie sheets while leaving a space of about 5 cm (2 inches) between each cookies. Flatten the dough with your fingers in order to shape the cookie.
  6. Cook in the oven, one cookie sheet at a time for about 11-15 minutes.
  7. Let the cookie cool for a few minutes and repeat the same steps for the second cookie sheet.
