1 cup of Organic Golden Cane Sugar
1 cup (250 ml) of water
1 cup (250 ml) of blueberry from Quebec province
6 basil leafs
Zest and juice of a lemon
Bring all ingredients to a boil over high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Crush the blueberries roughly.
Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let stand for 30 minutes.
Pass the mixture through a fine sieve to separate the liquid from the pulp.
Store in the refrigerator.
